Why accessibility to the web site of Automatismos FASEG?
Because not everybody has the same abilities to access information.
Some people may have impaired vision or hearing, reduced mobility, or reading and/or comprehension difficulties, others cannot use a keyboard or mouse, others use a digital text reader, a small screen or have no access to Internet. These groups make up ten percent of the population, and for them surfing a non-standard web site is very difficult if not impossible.
Therefore, these users have been provided with special devices and tools to customise the computer for specific needs and requirements (e.g. through browsers with voice synthesizer or screen magnifiers). Furthermore, the contents must be structured so that they can be used by this group of users and be processed by special technologies.
Visual design with standards
Accessibility criteria for the greatest number of users possible regardless of personal or technological restrictions was our point of departure during the design of this web site, thus trying to overcome the digital divide and the barriers generated by the evolution of new technology.
W3C (Word Wide Web Consortium), WAI (The Web Accessibility Initiative) meeting the accessibility criteria or General Principles for an Accessible Design.
We have followed standard formats established by W3C and the WAI-established Accessibility Guidelines meeting level A.
If, despite the above, you have browsing or viewing problems, please do not hesitate to tell us using this email: accesibilidad@dedomultimedia.com We will try and solve this problem as soon as possible.
Browsing
This web site uses layers and CSS This allows us to separate the content from its presentation, ensuring access and readability of the information on all browsers and devices.
The contents of the PDF files are not formed by a semantic structure or constructed to W3 standards, and the information is therefore not accessible.
The language used for the contents and structure on this website is XHTML 1.1, compliant and cascading style sheets (CSS 2.0) are used for lay-out and graphic display. Furthermore, all pages are XHTML 1.1 transitional, CSS 2.0 compliant. Also, a tool is used to analyse accessibilityto web sites, including all elements and pages included in the site; this tool is offered by TAW which stands for Test Accessibility Web.
This site uses only relative font sizes, compatible with the user-specified "text size" option in visual browsers. Correct displaying of this web site has been checked in several versions of the main browsers (Internet Explorer 6, Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.6, Opera and Safari).
